As part of The Learning Library’s exploration of artificial intelligence tools, a series of experiments was conducted to examine how different AI systems represent themselves through visual concepts.
For this experiment, ChatGPT was asked to create a Recraft prompt for an image that would best represent ChatGPT. The objective was not to compare image-generation capabilities, but rather to explore how ChatGPT conceptualizes its own purpose, strengths, and identity.
The text below is the prompt provided by ChatGPT. Recraft was then used to generate artwork based on that prompt. The image displayed alongside the prompt was selected from the resulting images as the representation that best reflected the concept.
This exercise illustrates an interesting aspect of artificial intelligence. The final artwork reflects both the AI’s self-description and the interpretation of the image-generation model. The result is a collaboration between multiple AI systems and human evaluation.

Editorial Note
During final review of this page, it was noted that ChatGPT’s prompt recommended a vector illustration. However, the image was generated using the Nana Banana Pro model, which does not produce vector artwork. This mismatch may have influenced the final result.
